Collaborative Group Guide for Schoot Users- Step 4

How to set up a video conferencing session through Schoot’s ‘Online Meetings’


1. Go to your ‘Home page’ then to the ‘Your Groups’ section. Choose the collaborative group in which you are joining a   scheduled  Schoot ‘Online Meeting’ for.  Click ‘Continue to group’

2.  Next you will be prompted to ‘Enter video conference details’ – Fill in the specified fields and then click ‘Save and invite group members’ – this will invite all the members of the collaborative group you have previously identified.



3. All attendees will receive an email notification of the meeting and the scheduled meeting (including date and time) will appear in their ‘Online Meeting’ section of their collaborative group page. You have now set up the collaborative ‘Online Meeting’. You’ll also receive a ‘Notification’ of this meeting on your Home page

4.  You are able to schedule multiple Online Meetings for your collaborative group. (See below)

5.  Attendees you have invited to the ‘Online Meeting’ (as well as you as the host) will receive email notification of the meeting. Click on ‘Conference-invite’ they will then get the option to ‘Add this internet calendar to Outlook’- you have the option to click ‘Yes’




6.  This Scheduled ‘Online Meeting’ will then appear in your Microsoft Outlook calendar as show below:

If you and other invited attendees click ‘here’ to view group from their email invite, it will take you directly to the collaborative group page (in this case CPD Development) with the new scheduled meeting added to the collaborative page
